Reflection
The three sculptures visually communicate movement, and interactive design. While exploring the materials to build the sculptures, I wanted to focus on wood because I enjoy using the woodshed and have pervious experience with woodwork and carpentry. I decided to include wire, paper and construction glue as other materials in my sculptures because they pair nicely with wood. I felt the work was lacking unity so I used skate board wood in all three to conceptually join them. I want to keep exploring the pairing of wire and wood. I want to learn more about creating structurally sound boxes. This piece allowed me to explore movement of sculptures and how you can create interactive pieces. The making of this work exposed new ideas such as creating intricate designs with wire that could be useful during jewelry making.
